The Woodstock Fireworks Foundation is dedicated to ensuring Woodstock’s annual Fourth of July fireworks are a fitting community celebration of our nation’s Independence Day.

 

Woodstock’s fireworks are “By the People. For the People,” relying entirely on donations from the people — individuals and businesses — and accessible to all the people — residents and visitors.

How does the Woodstock Fireworks Foundation operate?

The Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to gathering private community donations to fund the annual Fourth of July fireworks display in Woodstock, Illinois. We ensure the continuation of this vital celebration through local support. The Foundation is a volunteer-run organization.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Woodstock Fireworks Foundation NFP received its 501(c)(3) charitable status from the Internal Revenue Service effective March 25, 2026. Donors can deduct contributions they make under IRC Section 170.

 

Woodstock Fireworks Foundation NFP is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.

 

Business sponsorships may be deductible as marketing expenses. Please check with your financial professional for additional information.

What is the purpose of the annual display?

The primary purpose is to provide a spectacular and safe fireworks display for residents and visitors, fostering community pride and celebrating the spirit of Independence Day.

Where is the event held?

Woodstock’s Fourth of July Fireworks begin at dusk annually on July 4 at Emricson Park.

 

Paid parking can be accessed from South Street. The parking fee is $20.00 which can be paid with cash (preferred) or credit card.

 

Walk-ins can enter Emricson Park from Jackson or South streets.
